The Cairn of Quadrants:This Cairn is somewhat more specific than the others in that I have named the four quadrants. This forces me to address four key forces within organizations - ME, WE, Culture, and Community. As usual there is a fifth space, the context of the system, which holds the other four in creative tension. The 4Quadrant Management approach helps me think on all four levels of the organization simultaneously. I use this with managers to design development plans for teams and team members, with teams when writing norms and clarifying their mental models, and with leaders during strategic planning or reorganization. |
